This will be a debate and Panel Discussion in recognition of International Awareness of Elimination of violence against Women Day. We at EDI Network are hosting a debate and panel discussion on the topic of ‘Domestic Abuse’ and the ongoing Problems/ Stigma in reporting for women.
We at Equality Diversity Inclusion Network are proud to be celebrating International Awareness of Elimination of violence against Women Day on Monday 25 November 2019 with a debate and Panel discussion on the topic of Domestic Abuse and the stigma for women in reporting the crime. All welcome, men and women. This is not a women only event and we encourage all to attend.
The Panel members include Gina Samuel-Richards a Solicitor who will comment upon the legal aspect, Zinthiya Ganeshpanchan is a specialist provider for DV/HBV. Rukhsana Hussain a community champion on the panel will provide the view of the Community when it comes to stigma, shame and other issues impacting upon the decision of women to report crimes. Further panel members including a member of the Leicestershire Police Force to be announced in the days to come.
